Five random things*

1.    Next on my list of things I must do is travel to Europe.  It is all I can think about lately.  I want to visit (in no particular order) Paris, Munich, Athens, Madrid, Denmark and Zurich.  I have discovered this deep love that I have for traveling this past year and next on my to-do list is to explore Europe.  What are your favorite travel destinations?

2.     Eyeshadow primer is a must have.  Whether you are wearing a neutral eye look or plan on creating a dramatic smoky eye, an eyelid primer should be an essential part of every girls morning makeup routine.  And no, all primers are not created equal.

3.     Eating healthy is essential in feeling your best.  Try it! About two years ago I switched to whole grains, mostly organic, and lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, it has made a huge impact in the way I feel about food.  I try to avoid processed food (except for macaroni & cheese) and definitely do not drink soda.  You’ll feel better and look better, guaranteed.

4.     One thing I struggle with but honestly try to do is keep a nice manicure at all times.  I try to mix it up with fun colors but sometimes get too busy to keep them perfectly polished all the time.  I just purchased a new Spring light minty green shade that I am in love with and cannot wait to try.

5.     I would rather wear cute shoes than be comfortable.  I do not mind if my feet hurt a little at the end of the day if my shoes looked good with my outfit.  Sometimes shoes are too cute to pass up even if they are no bueno on my feet.

Kelleigh's February `11 Favorites*

  Jergen’s Original Scent Lotion

Have you smelled Jergen’s Original Scent? It’s Almond Cherry..it’s amazing.  This lotion is so creamy. I definitely use this lotion as my after shower lotion because it’s one of the few lotions that dries on and makes your skin truly look great! It doesn’t dry sticky/oily. The bottle says “60% more moisture instantly for 24-hour softness” and it’s TRUE! Not to mention, it’s one of the only lotions that doesn’t burn my legs after I shave my legs.  Another bonus? It’s inexpensive! I bought my bottle at my local grocery store for approximately $6 and it was a bonus bottle, with 25% more. No wonder this product has been around forever, it works!

Victoria’s Secret Love Spell Body Mist

Oh my goodness, where to begin?? For those days when perfume is just too over the top of a scent, Victoria’s Secret Love Spell Refreshing Body Mist comes in handy. It contains Cherry Blossom, Peach, and White Jasmine in it. Normally, I am not into over the top fruity scents but this combo is wonderful. Victoria’s Secret says it has calming Chamomile and Aloe Vera in it which makes it even better. I find this product to be amazing because a few spritzes go a long way. The scent lingers which is great when you’re out and about! Another plus about this product? An 8.4 oz bottle costs only $9, and most of the time Victoria’s Secret has sales on it, which makes it even cheaper!

Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner

As the way to balance your pH of your face, it’s important to have a toner that tones without drying out your face. This toner is incredible! It does not dry out my face at all and it totally digs deep into my pores to eliminate any dirt. It doesn’t make my face itch and it leave my skin feeling cool and refreshed. What I love is that you can purchase this at your local drugstore (CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, etc) for around $7-$9.

For my first Favorites post, these were just a few! Hope you enjoy :)

Shauna's February Favorites*

Aveda Hair Potion has changed my hair routine.  Add a little powder to your roots for texture and a lot of volume.  I am a serial shampooer which makes my hair really soft and clean so I've never been able to tease my roots to add volume until now.

Anyone who knows me would agree that I am obsessed with lipgloss.  I reapply all throughout the day and have a huge collection of different brands, shades and textures.  I have always loved the Viva Glam gloss from MAC, but this season the Gaga shade is my favorite by far.

The Cargo Beach Blush is one of the most under-rated beauty products available.  It is one of my top 5 products of all times and looks great on anyone.  The beach blush works as a blush, bronzer and highlighter. The shades range from very light to dark; Miami Beach, Cable Beach, Sunset Beach & Coral Beach. It is a definite must-have!

The Sigma F82 will change the way you feel about your morning makeup routine.  The brush is made out of synthetic fibers and can be used with foundation, cream or powder.  Looking for a flawless finish? This brush is for you!

Shauna's Introduction*

I am a small town girl at heart and have a huge passion for the beauty industry.  Like most of you, I enjoy shopping (who DOESN'T!?), traveling to see all of the beautiful places in this world and cooking delicious food.  On the other hand, I am adventurous and  enjoy a little excitement; from snowboarding the mountains of Colorado to skydiving, or reeling in a big walleye and hiking through the woods of northern Minnesota, I try to enjoy all aspects of life and encourage you to do the same!

I have spent the past six years working in almost every cosmetic position that is available.  I have worked as a makeup artist, cosmetics manager, in cosmetic sales and now work on the business side of things.  How could someone not enjoy playing with all of the fun colors, shiny lip glosses and dramatic lashes?

The most rewarding thing to me is making someone else feel beautiful, the way they look in the mirror and you can see the confidence build, like they're seeing a new "me" for the first time.  I love teaching someone how to properly do their makeup for the first time (especially young girls), helping women with beauty advice (we've all seen the ladies with too much blush, spider eye lashes, and all they need is a little push in the right direction) and sharing all of my little makeup tips (check back often for them)!

Kelleigh's Introduction*

Yes, that's right, my name has an unusual amount of letters to simply spell the name "Kelly" but I love it! I am a Florida Native with a strong, and I mean strong love for New York City. I spent two years of my life there and I cannot wait to live there again. For now at least, it's my favorite place to visit. I look young and I sound young, but I am not as young as I sound or look ;-) Twenties.

I love beauty products! Why? Because I just do. I sat here for a few minutes pondering how I could formulate a sentence that describes my passion for beauty products, but I just couldn't. I had too much to say..I am not a gal who cakes on the make-up to cover up the true beauty. I love products that help keep the skin clean, the ones that emphasize the color of your eye, the hue on your cheeks, and the glisten on your lips.

I am an everyday woman trying to find the products that work. We're all different. We're all diverse in our needs for make-up, hair products, perfumes, lotions, and more..but that's the point of blogs like these..to give you the answers that you just may be looking for. I know that I occasionally impulse buy (um, who doesn't?) but I also search for product reviews. I rather know from reading a review that an eyeshadow isn't actually as pigmented as it looks, or that a certain foundation dries up so quickly before I spend my dough! You get the point!

With everything said, I look forward to sharing my experiences and advice with you :)
